I will be really blunt about this. It would be crazy if some day I could pay my rent with photography. And this website is the first step in that direction.

Why?

However I also always wanted a nice digital space to show off my photography. Also to be able to look at everything I’ve accomplished so far at once.

I really want to explain the process behind my favorite photos very detailed. I’m really passionate about that and finally want to start doing that.

Pai Canyon

Probably my riskiest photo ever. There was this canyon in Pai (touristy drug village in northern Thailand) and I’ve seen pictures of it online and imagined real good astrophotography there. So I went there by myself at evening, it was already completely dark and I made my way through the canyon. All in all it was probably the most unnecessary dangerous thing I’ve ever done because on the way out I was also shortly chased by dogs but the photos turned out to be pretty sick, as you can see :)

Hong Kong

My absolute dream photo. I wanted to take a photo of the Suicide Cliff in HK since I first saw a photo of it online, years ago. It was the definition of out of this world. So I climbed up there again by night, all by mself. If I had to rank it, the 2nd most dangerous thing I’ve done for a photo, right after the Pai canyon.
However it was definetly worth it and also so much fun! I put up my camera and held a remote shutter in my hand, which I took photos with. Coming back to my camera and seeing how insane these photos turned out, was one of the best feelings ever. 10/10 would recommend.

This is in Guanxi, China, the Longji Rice Terraces. This photo really showcases the scale of this landscape. It was so huge and never ending, a feeling captured in this photograph, with the rice terraces ranging from the bottom till the top, taking up the whole frame.

It honestly was one of the best days of my life. We spent 1 night there and I had 10 minutes of sleep that night. First I stayed up till like 4 am (with a friend) to do astrophotography and then I got up again to take photos of the sunrise.

My friend and I wanted to take some cool photos with my new camera and his new bike. We met in the middle of the day with rather bad lighting. We took some pictures, but nothing I was satisfied with. As we parted ways with no sunset in sight, the sky got crazier and crazier, so we met up again real quick and took some epic shots. This is one of my favorites of this series.
I like the colors. The sky is blue and orange (nice contrast) And the same is with the subject: a light blue suit and a red bike, nicely lined up with the same color contrast in the sky.
